What Are Teardrop Flags?
Teardrop flags, commonly referred to as teardrop flag banners or teardrop feather flags, are large teardrop-shaped flags with any custom design printed on them using a dye sublimation process. They are attached to a lightweight aluminum and fiberglass flagpole and are either stuck into the ground or placed on some type of flag stand. This flagpole is bendable, keeping the teardrop flag taut with and without wind.

Teardrop Flag Options
Double Sided
Double sided flags are the most visible and effective form of teardrop flags, giving you the ability to print your design on both sides. Each side can be the same or different, depending on your needs.
The double sided flags come with a lining in the middle that prevents each side from showing through to the other.
We recommend double sided for all your teardrop flags, as it provides the most vibrant and noticeable graphics from any direction.
Single Sided
Single sided teardrop flags are printed on one side only. As a result, the design is “print through”, which means that your design will be slightly visible from the back side.
Single sided are not as effective as double sided but are more cost sensitive.
Outdoors
Teardrop flags are great outdoor signs because of their durability, weather resistance, and size. They are sure to catch the eye of people walking and driving by.
We offer a variety of different types of bases that are perfect for any outdoor use. For example, you can stick your teardrop flag directly into the ground with the ground stake or place it on the ground with a square or cross base.
Indoors
Teardrop flags are also great for indoor use, especially for events, expos, and conferences.
We recommend using either a square base or cross base when using indoors.
Base Types
Square
A heavy metal base with a flat, square shaped bottom great for indoor use and outdoor settings of high foot traffic and moderately windy conditions.
Ground Stake
This 25" long metal spike is great for installing flags outdoors in solid soil and typically provides the greatest stability for outdoor use.
Cross Base
This base has four legs and a foldable design making it a great option for indoor use and flags that may require travel. If used indoors with higher amounts of foot traffic, be careful to place it so that it does not create a tripping hazard.
Cross Base with Water Bag
To more securely anchor your flag, use a refillable water bag to put over the top of your cross base. This heavy plastic ring full of water adds 16 pounds of weight to secure your flag!

Assembling Your Teardrop Flag
Assemble your teardrop flag by putting all the poles together in the proper order. Unfold the flag and slide the pole through the pole insert of the flag until the flag is fully extended on the flag. Finally, erect the flag by inserting the base of the pole into one of the four stand options offered.

Taking Care of Your Teardrop Flag
Maintaining and taking proper care of your teardrop flag will ensure it will last for years to come. These polyester teardrop flags are machine washable but should not be ironed or machine dried.

Both bases are weighted and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. However, the square base’s profile allows for it to be placed flush against the ground, reducing the chance of it being knocked over or being a tripping hazard. The square base is the heaviest base we offer, weighing in at 21 lbs. We suggest using the square base for outdoor use when wanting to place the banner on a flat, solid surface. If you’re looking to secure your banner in a grassy area, we recommend the ground stake over the square base.
The cross base is a foldable, 4-legged base that offers stability while remaining portable. Unlike the square base, the cross base fits within the teardrop banner carrying case, which allows for it to be transported to tradeshows or conventions. Being a lighter base allows for the cross base to be easily placed in storefronts or businesses without the hassle of carrying around the heavy square base. The cross base is stable enough to be placed outside. If placed outside, you can add the available water bag weight to give extra support.
The carrying case is an additional option that can be purchased during the design process of your banner. However, your teardrop banner will come with a pole bag that will only protect your pole set. The Pole Set option you purchase is selected by default to ensure you get poles with your banner.
The carrying case is designed to hold one teardrop banner, a disassembled flagpole set, a cross base, and a folded and empty water bag. The case includes pockets to place each flagpole piece and a pouch for the cross base to ensure that everything is secure within the case. The teardrop banner case can zip up to fully secure its contents and be carried using the handles or the included shoulder strap.
