- What material are your flyers made of?

Our flyers are made out of durable, 100lb Gloss Book paper. At .014”, this thicker stock reduces the risk of your flyers folding or creasing during transport, maximizing your brand image when it’s time for delivery.
- What is the lifespan of your flyers? Will the design fade over time?

Our flyers are printed on durable paper with a 4-Color UV Ink Process, rated to last up to 5+ years with proper care. The UV coating makes them fade-resistant for virtually any amount of time you would need to store your flyers.
- Can I order single-sided flyers? Double-sided?
- We offer both single and double-sided (or 2-Sided) flyers, printed in full-color for whichever option you decide. Make sure to indicate in the design tool whether or not you’ll want to print on both the front and back of your flyers, and whether you would like the same design or different designs on each side. Of course, there is an additional cost to printing on both sides, which you will see directly in the design tool once you’ve selected one of our double sided options.
- I selected double sided and have a different file/design for the back side but I don’t see where to edit the second side of my flyer.
- On our design tool, select “2 Sides Different” under the “Printed Sides” dropdown menu. After you’ve uploaded your design or created a new design for your first side, click the “Show Back Side” button located directly below the artboard within the design tool. The reverse side of your flyer will be shown and you’ll be ready to upload or create a new design for the other side of your flyer.
- How easily do the flyers tear?
- Given that our flyers are made out of the same durable paper you would find in a standard text book, they won’t tear easily under proper care and handling
- Are your flyers waterproof?
- No, as our flyers are made out of paper, it’s important to keep them dry. Exposure to moisture, wet weather, or other abrasive conditions could ruin your flyers, making them unusable.
- How small or big can my flyers be?
- Your flyers can be as small as 4.25” x 5.5” and as large as 11” x 17”, with a range of sizes in between, in either portrait or landscape orientations, with a minimum DPI of 300. If you’re looking for a larger size, consider creating a custom poster here on our site!
- Do you offer rounded edges or custom shapes on your flyers?
- Flyers are available in various rectangular sizes. At this time we do not offer rounded corners or custom shapes for our flyers.
- If I print my flyers in more than one color am I charged more?
- All Signs.com products are printed in full color at no extra charge. We also offer color matching in case you need to match specific pantones for brand consistency. For more information, please contact us at 888-222-4929.
- Are your flyers a matte or gloss finish?
- Our flyers are made out of 100 lb Gloss Book paper, so they will have a glossy, semi-reflective surface on both sides of the flyer. At this time, we do not offer a matte finish for flyers.
- What is a UV finish?
- Our UV or ultraviolet finish is a 4-color printing process that dries quickly for crisp, clean image reproduction that is resistant to scratches and abrasions. It is also environmentally friendly, which increases the durability of the finished product. This finish is standard on all of our products.
- Do I have to use one of your templates for my flyers?
- Not at all! Our templates are offered for your convenience, but you have several alternatives for creating your flyers, including designing in your preferred offline vector graphics application, directly in our Online Design Tool or even by taking advantage of our Free Design Services.
- Can you print photos on my flyers?
- Of course! Within the design tool, you can upload virtually any image file type to your design, whether that’s a photo, vector graphic or other custom design, simply by clicking the “Upload” button in the context menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Once you’ve uploaded your file, place it in your desired position on your flyer to add a personal touch to your design!
- Can you print flyers using white ink?
- Our paper is 100% white gloss, so rather than print white ink, any white space, graphics or fonts on your design will simply be left unprinted.
- What quantities do you sell your flyers in?
- You can order your custom flyers in any of the following run sizes: 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500 or 5000. For larger orders, or for any questions on higher quantities, feel free to contact us at 888-222-4929.
- Do you offer any discounts for ordering a large number of flyers?
- We do offer incremental discounts on run sizes of flyers. You can see specific discounts on each run size directly in our Design Tool. For additional questions about discounts and run sizes, feel free to give us a call at 888-222-4929.
- Can I write on the flyers with pen or pencil?
- Because our flyers are coated with a UV finish, you won’t be able to write on printed sides with a pen or pencil, however a permanent marker of a contrasting color will show up clearly on the flyers. So while you can write on the back of a single-sided flyer with pens and pencils, you won’t be able to write on flyers without permanent ink if they have printed designs on both the front and the back.
- Once I place my order, how long will it take for my flyers to be printed?
- Signs.com is proud to offer fast turnaround for printing flyers. Once your order is complete, your order will ship out within 2 business days and, depending on the shipping options you select, will arrive within 1-5 business days. The timing of your order’s delivery will be shown on both the checkout page and your order confirmation email.
- Are the edges to the flyers sharp?
- The 100lb Gloss Book paper that we print our flyers on is not considered a rigid material: it is about the same thickness, (and the corners are about as sharp), as the pages in a standard text book.
- Do you provide any proofs for my artwork before printing?
- You can view a digital proof by clicking the “View Proof” button on our Online Design Tool. Due to the nature of small format printing we are unable to offer a single physical proof before purchase. Nonetheless, if your order is very large and you are still interested in receiving a small portion of your order first please contact us at 888-222-4929 to see what options are available.
- Will my flyers come packaged together in sets?
- All flyers, regardless of run size, will come as loose sheets. At this time we do not offer shrink wrapping for flyers.
- What is the standard size for flyers? Do you offer that size?
- Standard sizes range from 4.25” x 5.5” to 11” x 17”. In addition to these sizes we offer, 5.5” x 8.5”, 8.5” x 11”, and 8.5” x 14” in either landscape or portrait formats. So, yes, we do offer standard size flyers. If you’re still unsure what size you need, feel free to give contact our award-winning customer experience team.

- Depending on what you’re promoting or advertising on your flyer, it’s important to put an attention-grabbing image or headline to pull in potential customers or event attendees. Be sure to include contact or other relevant information to your call to action so customers know where they can redeem your offer, attend your event or reach out to you for your product or service. - Are QR codes useful on flyers?
- QR codes are really a matter of preference. Since both Android and iOS devices have native QR code readers in their cameras, it’s possible this technology will become more popular in the coming years. Above all, if you choose to include a QR code, be sure to offer the recipient of your flyer a specific value for connecting with you online and ensure your links are setup correctly.
- How do I add a QR code or custom barcode to my flyer?
- Uploading a custom barcode or QR to your flyer is simple. Simply create your code in your favorite barcode or QR code generator and save as a PNG or JPEG file. Include the code in a design you create offline or upload it in our design tool to add it to your flyer.
- How many flyers should I order for my upcoming event or promotion?
- As a general rule of thumb, flyers with an incentive, such as a coupon or offer, can expect a conversion rate of 4-8%. For events, a 1-2% conversion rate is considered successful. After you’ve set a target for event attendees, or other otherwise factored your marketing objectives, use these estimates for anticipated conversion rates to determine how many flyers you should order.
- What are the most common uses of flyers?
- Flyers are one of the most widely used pieces of printed marketing collateral regardless of the industry. They are commonly used in direct mail campaigns, at trade shows and conferences, in door to door sales, in offices and business of all types, presentations, event promotion, sales/promotions or product spec sheets in business to business settings and more. In short, they can be used for pretty much any marketing need you can imagine!

- What is the best way to store my flyers?
- It’s important to store your flyers in a dry place where they won’t be subjected to moisture or extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat which may damage them. Avoid creasing, bending or tearing your flyers by handling each the way you would a page of a book.
- I’ve already designed my own flyer. Can I upload my own design?
- Yes! Many of our customers are accustomed to designing their own flyers offline. If you’ve already designed something, click the “Get Started Button,” then click “Upload Your Design” to continue with your previously designed flyers.
- How do you add a folding option to an order?
- While we don’t offer folding options for our flyers, we do also offer brochures with bi-fold, tri-fold and z-fold options. If you have any questions about which product would be best for you, feel free to give us a call at 888-222-4929.
- Do you offer other paper stocks?
- No. At the current time we only offer 100lb Gloss Book. We have found this paper type to be the most versatile paper for a wide variety of uses. If you are interested in having us offer other paper types in the future please contact us.
- Can I order a size, paper or quantity not listed on your site?
- Our flyers are only available in standard sizes: 4.25” x 5.5”, 5.5” x 8.5”, 8.5” x 11”, 11” x 17” in either landscape or portrait orientations, and in the following run sizes: 25, 50, 75, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500 and 5000. If your needs are different that the available sizes and quantities listed here, please give us a call at 888-222-4929 so we can work on finding what’s best for you
- Do you offer design services?
- Yes! Signs.com is proud to offer FREE professional design services to our customers. We’ll be more than happy to enhance your current design, or to design something completely new from scratch! - Can I combine the shipping on my order?
- We offer free shipping to the contiguous United States, on all orders over $75, excluding orders containing rigid signs over 36”. So long as your different signs are purchased at the same time then your potential shipping costs will be consolidated into one shipping charge.
- Do you have any kind of satisfaction guarantee?
- Not sure if you’ll like it? Your flyers are backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not fully satisfied with your order, or if we somehow made a mistake, we’ll be more than happy to reprint the order as soon as possible.
