Can I write on my rack cards?

A:
If you are looking for rack cards that you want to be able to write on, you need to make sure you choose matte. The glossy rack cards are coated in a glossy film that makes it extremely difficult for ink to stick to them. Even a permanent marker like a Sharpie will not write well on a glossy rack card.

What’s the difference between 14 pt. and 16 pt. cardstock?

Both 14 pt. and 16 pt. cardstock are made of the same material. The only difference is the thickness. 14 pt cardstock is .014” thick and 16 pt cardstock is .016” thick. 16 pt cardstock is thicker and as a result, more stiff than 14 pt cardstock. Both 14 pt and 16 pt cardstock are more stiff than 100 lb paper stock.

At Signs.com we offer free design services. You can fill out a form to request help on your design and you will get help from one of our design professionals at no additional cost. They can help ensure that your rack cards are exactly the way you want them.

If you already have your design created you may upload your design to our website. All of our customer's designs are sent to our pre-flight team who ensures the quality and specs are correct so that it turns out just the way you want it.

If you don't have a design already created and you still want to do it yourself, you can use our online design tool. You can start from scratch or use one of our templates and change it however you want. You can add images, text, background colors, change the size/position, etc.

Do you print in full color?

Yes. We print in 4/4, 4/1, 4/0. The 4 stands for the 4 ink colors used in this type of printing -- cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. They are commonly referred to as CMYK. 4/4 means that both sides (front and back) are printed in full color. 4/1 means that the front is printed in full color and the back is printed only in black ink. 4/0 means that the front is printed in full color, but the back has no printing on it, meaning it would be white. On our website we use single-sided and double-sided rather than 4/0 or 4/1 and 4/4 respectively.
