What Are Plastic Signs?

Our plastic signs are the perfect combination of performance, affordability, and versatility. Fabricated from naturally-occurring plastic compounds, these matte finish signs can be used for interior or exterior applications as directional signage, architectural signage, real estate signage, trade show signage, giant checks and more.

Plastic signs are great for mounting against a wall, hanging outside a storefront, and a variety of other display options. Our plastic signs can be contour cut to virtually any shape, be single or double sided, are eco-friendly and recyclable, and are best suited for larger signs and fonts.

Ways to Use Plastic Signs

Plastic signs can be used in many ways, whether you choose to display them indoors or outdoors. Here are some examples of plastic sign applications:

Indoor Uses of Plastic Signs

  • Office signs – plastic signs are used in offices to display the company name, department names, employee names, and directional signs.
  • Retail store signs – if you want to advertise sales, promotions, product displays, and store hours, plastic signs are a great choice.
  • Safety signs – use plastic signs for safety warnings and to show people where the emergency exits are, and what safety procedures they should follow.
  • Trade shows – plastic signs can also be used for product displays and for displaying promotions at trade shows.
  • Conferences – aside from directional signs, plastic signs can be used to let attendees know the names of conference rooms and know who the speakers are.

Outdoor Uses of Plastic Signs
  • Real estate signs – because plastic signs are weatherproof, they can be used for real estate listings, open house signs, and directional signs.
  • Construction sites – use plastic signs to protect workers and passersby from accidents with safety warnings, traffic control signs, and directional signs.
  • Political campaigns – want more people to vote for your candidate? Use plastic signs for political campaign purposes, yard signs, bumper stickers, and billboards.
  • Sporting events – use plastic signs to show people where designated areas like restrooms and parking lots are. You can also use these to showcase sponsorships and display event advertisements.
  • Retail stores – drive more foot traffic into your store by using plastic for store advertisements, product displays, and sales promotions.
  • Public parks – you can use plastic signs to make the public aware of the park’s rules and regulations, show directions, and indicate trail maps.
  • Parking lots – plastic signs work great as directional signs at parking lots. Use these for signages like parking numbers, disabled persons parking, and reserved parking signs.

Hang your custom plastic sign using rope, string, or bungees. To attach them to a substrate, use screws with washers, or nuts and bolts if attaching to poles. These signs can also be used on easels for temporary displays.

Our plastic signs can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild soap. If your signs are installed outside, clean them regularly. If possible, install them in areas that get limited direct sunlight and wind. Depending on the size of your signs, store them flat and in a non-weight bearing fashion to avoid bending and breaking. If your plastic sign is coated with protective laminate, we recommend using clean cloth and a citrus-based cleaner or cleaning mix of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water.

Are plastic signs weather-resistant?
Asked 2 years ago by Signs

Yes, they are. They are printed using weather-resistant ink and are made of durable PVC material which makes them great for outdoor use.

What can the plastic signs be used for?
Asked 2 years ago by Signs
Our plastic signs can be used for many of the same uses as our other exterior signs, dibond and aluminum, are used for. This includes property management, real estate, directional, publicly administered parks and trails, safety, regulatory and even surveillance signs. They also work great for the exterior of businesses and even in rural residential settings as an affordable yet durable signage solution. Interior options include point of purchase (POP) displays, trade show signage and more.
Can your plastic signs be used with metal frames?
Asked 2 years ago by Signs
Yes, our plastic signs could be used in a metal or wooden frame. Though for either of these options we would recommend a metal alternative. We currently do not sell any frames.
How do I install my plastic signs / Where can I post my sign?
Asked 2 years ago by Signs
Installing a plastic sign is very easy. In most cases selecting drilled holes and using screws or bolts and washers will be the easiest way to mount your sign. If you’ve selected drilled holes in your sign you can mount your sign to any surface you can penetrate with your screw or bolt. Your plastic signs can also be hung with some kind of string, rope or bungee cord. Likewise, for indoor uses they could be temporarily set on an easel or other similar display frame. Further, adhesive or glue could be purchased in order to post the sign. For outdoor use we recommend selecting drilled holes and posting it to a sturdy rigid surface.
How do I wash my plastic sign?
Asked 2 years ago by Signs
You can wash your sign with a non-abrasive wet cloth or rag. For a more thorough cleaning you can use a mild detergent. Regular cleaning will keep your sign looking crisp and clear for the duration of the sign. If your sign has been coated with our protective laminate, we recommend using a citrus-based cleaner. You can also clean using a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water.
How do I store my plastic signs?
Asked 2 years ago by Signs
Your plastic signs can be stored flat in any cool, dry room. Simply store them at room temperature and avoid any rooms or storage places that have extremes in cold, heat or humidity.
Can sintra be used for a sign with lights inside? If it has LED lights behind the sign, with the light come through the sintra? We're looking to replace the inserts on our sign which has lights inside (behind the sign). Thanks for your help!
Asked 3 months ago by Karen L.

Sintra boards are not see-through. It would not work for a backlit sign. I would suggest checking out back lit decals. These are affordable signs that would guarantee word on your lit signs.

what units are the size? mm? cm? inches? feet?

When ordering a 3MM plastic sign, what is the diameter of the Standoffs: 4 Corners?
Asked 3 months ago by Juli

For the 3MM plastic signs, we have 2 options for the diameter of the hole drills. It may be for the 3/8" and 1/4". You may choose a standoff that could fit based on the drilled hole diameter chosen for the product itself.
