How to Use Our Templates for Feather Flag Banners
Follow these easy steps to personalize our banner templates and make them your very own.

What are Feather Flags?
Feather flag banners are the perfect outdoor and indoor signage solution for drawing attention to your business, product, or promotion. The flag is made from a 4 oz. polyester material, which is weather resistant and extremely durable, making it perfect for using outdoors. The pole set is made from a combination of lightweight aluminum and fiberglass poles for durability. Using the ground stake, the flag can be placed in grass or soil. We also offer additional base options that will allow for the flag to be displayed on hard surfaces and indoors as well. Double Sided
If you want your flag's messaging or branding to be visible from both sides, our double sided custom feather flags are the way to go. Print your design on both sides of the flag or a different design on each side
To design the back side, simply click the "Back Side" button once the double sided option is selected.Single Sided
Outdoors
Feather flags are great outdoor signs due to their versatility, durability, and weather resistance. We recommend using either a ground stake, square base, or base with water bag for outdoor installations. With the exception of severe weather, your feather flags can be used outdoors year round.
Indoors
Base Options
Square
A heavy metal base with a flat, square shaped bottom great for indoor use and outdoor settings of high foot traffic and moderately windy conditions.
Ground Stake
This 25" long metal spike is great for installing flags outdoors in solid soil and typically provides the greatest stability for outdoor use.
Cross Base
This base has 4 legs and a foldable design making it a great option for indoor use and flags that may require travel. If used indoors with higher amounts of foot traffic, be careful to place it so that it does not create a tripping hazard.
Cross Base with Water Bag
To more securely anchor your flag, use a refillable water bag to put over the top of your cross base. This heavy plastic ring full of water adds 16 pounds of weight to secure your flag!

Digitally printed on 4 oz. polyester, your flag will not only be extremely durable and weather resistant but have vibrant and clear colors.

Assembling Your Feather Flag
Feather flags are assembled by unfolding the polyester graphic, assembling the aluminum and fiberglass pole set, and then sliding your polyester flag over the assembled pole set. Your feather flag is then able to be placed on one of the four bases offered.
Taking Care of Your Feather Flag
Maintaining and taking proper care of your feather will ensure it will last for years to come. These polyester feather flags are machine washable but should not be ironed or machine dried.

The size of the additional optional carrying case will vary depending on the size of your feather flag banner. One case fits the small or medium feather banners and another case is tailored to fit the large and XL size feather banners. We will ensure you get the correct size of carrying case. When checking out. you simply need to select the carrying case option if you want this travel case.
Before anything else let’s clear up the confusion that may exist around the different phrases used for this and similar banner types. The terms “feather banner” and “flag banner” or even “feather flag banner” are all interchangeable. The use of these terms is usually dictated by who is speaking and their preference or habit of calling them one or the other. In terms of functionality, pricing, etc. these terms all mean the same to us. For simplicity's sake we just use “feather banner”.
There is a difference between other types of banners that we offer and you can learn more about these on their respective product pages: teardrop banners, (closest to feather banners but slightly different shape and different pricing), standard banners, fabric banners, and retractable banners.
The differences between the two most similar banner options that can be quickly noted are that the feather banner we offer is a little more free flowing than the teardrop banner which is more taut and stretched out when secured to its flagpole. Further, the design surface area of the feather banner is also larger than the teardrop of a similar size. Note: We currently do not offer custom/rectangular flags that you typically see attached and raised up a flag pole.

The feather flag banner is made from a lightweight, 4 oz. polyester material. This material, which has a plastic-like property, allows for flexibility and durability of the product. The flagpole is made of lightweight aluminum, which adds to the versatility of this unique banner.
With proper care and storage, the banner can last two years or more. Exposure to the sun or harsh elements may diminish the quality of the banner faster than if the banner is kept away from those conditions.
Strong gusts of wind can cause the banner to be blown away even when anchored to the ground. Even with a weighted base, the flagpole could still be bent or harmed in heavy winds. The height of the flag is also a factor in its resistance to the wind. A larger flag is more likely to be windblown. We recommend that you take down the flag, regardless of size, in inclement weather conditions.
We currently offer four different sizes of feather flag banners:
- Small (9’)
- Medium (10.5’)
- Large (14’)
- X-Large (18’)
These heights represent the flag banner when it is attached to the flagpole, which is the industry standard when measuring feather banners. The actual banner dimensions alone are 24.25” W x 79.5” H (Small), 25.5” W x 105” H (Medium), 29.5” W x 139.5” H (Large), 27” W x 191” H (X-Large).
When using different bases, the height of the flag banner may also vary. Using the square base will only add about 1/8th of an inch to the overall height of the flag. The ground stake will also add height depending on how much it is driven into the ground. The cross base will add about 7” to the overall height of the banner.
Each flagpole is specifically designed to support one banner size. For example, a large flagpole will not support a small, medium, or XL banner. A large flagpole will only support a large banner.
