Other Specifications:
Water Resistance: Excellent. Bring on the rain, snow and sleet. Not recommended for full immersion in water so covering your submarine’s windows is probably out.
Angry Ex-Girlfriend Resistance: We can’t guarantee what will happen if your angry ex-lover finds your car parked on a dark street. Our perforated window decals are not rated for exposure to damage by razor blades, spray paint or machetes.
Stain Resistance: Resists mild alkalis, acids and salt. Also, resistant to occasional fuel spills in case you drive a very leaky vehicle.
Face Film: 2.0 mm
What does this mean? If you were to get out your calipers and measure
the thickness of your decal, you’d see that it measures 2 millimeters.
Release Liner: Polyethylene-coated paper
What does this mean? This coating type offers excellent stain resistance,
UV stability and guards against stress cracking.
Tensile Strength: 5 pounds per inch at 73 degrees F
What does this mean? The tensile strength test is done in a lab.
Little jaws are affixed to the center of the material and then pulled quickly. Unfortunately,
it doesn’t take the world’s strongest man to tear the film (only about 5 pounds
of pressure) but since you are installing it on glass, you won’t even have to worry
about it.
Typical Film Caliper: 3.0-4.0 mm. With Adhesive
What does this mean? It’s just a teeny, tiny bit thicker than the
face film (noted above) due to the adhesive placed on the film so that it sticks
to your car’s windows.
