Perforated Vehicle Decals

Take your vehicle’s look to the next level with our Perforated Car Decals. They allow you to see out but block others from seeing in.

How awesome is it to have a cool graphic or advertisement on the rear window of your car? Pretty awesome, we think. But . . . what if you could still see out of that window so as to avoid hitting the toddler next door when you back out of your driveway? Even better, we say. Our perforated film lets you design any type of advertising or graphics to jazz up your car windows.

Why It's Cool: This stuff has a black backing so you can only see the image from the front. It’s see-through from the back, so you can maintain visibility inside your car or store. It’s safe for all kinds of glass. It’s also easily removable with no residue.

What It's Made Of: 8 mm vinyl film with acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive.

How To Use It: Advertise, advertise, advertise. Put it on your car and drive around to let the world know all about your business. Turn a passenger van into a cargo van by adding this stuff to the rear and side windows.

When You Shouldn’t Use It: If you insist on power-washing your car, this product isn’t for you. You’ll want to hand wash your vehicle to protect the integrity of the application.

Lifespan: 3-5 years on your car.

Shelf Life: Store it at room temperature and 50% or less humidity and it’ll be great up to one year.

Print Method: We print using a four-color process with UV ink that provides better protection against fading than solvent inks. And it’s better on the environment.

Common Sizes: 12x18, 12x24, 18x12, 18x24, 24x18, 24x36, 24x38, Custom Size

Lamination: For automobile application, lamination is recommended so that water or grime doesn’t build up in the tiny perforation holes.

Other Specifications:

Water Resistance: This stuff will withstand all the rain, sleet and snow you can drop on it. It’s important to laminate when using as a car application - otherwise moisture will accumulate in the perforations, rendering the product opaque. Then you won’t be able to see out your windows, and you might change lanes right in front of a burly gentleman on a Harley. Which could be very dangerous (for both you, and him).

Angry Ex-Girlfriend Resistance: We can’t guarantee what will happen if your angry ex-lover finds your car parked on a dark street. Our perforated window decals are not rated for exposure to damage by razor blades, spray paint or machetes.

Open Area: Approximately 50%
What does this mean? About half of the material is the vinyl. The other half is made up of teeny tiny little holes. Which is how you can still see out your rear window, even when you have a super cool decal installed.

Vinyl Thickness: .008” (.2 mm)
What does this mean? This stuff is really, really thin.

Perforation Size: .060” (1.5mm)
What does this mean? The holes in this material are tiny--about the size of the head of a pin.

Minimum Application Temperature: 40 degrees Fahrenheit
What does this mean? You shouldn’t try to install this when it’s freezing cold out. Who wants to mess around with their car in the middle of a blizzard, anyway?

Here are a few tips to make installation a breeze:

To show off your perforated window signs in the best possible way, you’ve got to start with a nice, clean window.
Remove previous adhesive, scotch tape and any other gummy stuff.
Clean the window thoroughly, but do not use ammonia, Windex or any other kind of solvent-based glass cleaner. Stick to a mild soap and rinse well with water.
Dry the window thoroughly and make sure there aren’t any streaks.
Decide exactly where you want to place your sign. Beginning at the top, peel several inches of backing off and affix the top of the sign to the glass.
Working from the top of the sign down, slowly peel off the backing and press the perforated film to the glass.
Remove any air bubbles from the sign by gently pressing them toward the edges.

Keep your window signs looking great by following these basic care guidelines (Note: when ordering a Perforated Decal, specify if you are using it for your car. We will add a layer of lamination to it so that dirt and grime do not fill in the small holes in the material):

Prior to installation, keep your window signs loosely rolled up and stored in a dry, cool area.
Do not let your un-installed signs come into contact with water for an extended period of time.
Do not roll your new signs too tightly; this can cause wrinkling.
Occasionally wipe off your window signs with a damp cloth. Avoid excessive water on installed signs that are not laminated.
Hand wash your window signs; pressure washers will damage your signs and increase the likelihood of peeling.
To remove your window signs, peel them off, working from the top down. Remove any extra adhesive with soapy water or adhesive remover.
