We are pleased to announce the first ever winner of the “Design Your Success” annual scholarship and the amount of $2000.00 to Joshua Fernandez of Rincon, Georgia.

Applicants were required to compose a 1,200-1,500 word essay on how they plan to design success in their lives. This intentionally broad topic was one intended to draw out individual ideas and thoughts from each applicant based on their unique experiences and future plans.  Joshua’s essay impressed us by his reflection on personal experiences and how he sees success in his future because of those experiences and what he’s learned from them. We look forward to seeing him do well at The University of Arizona beginning this Fall and wish him continued success in the future.

“Signs.com is a proud supporter of continuing education and this scholarship is our way of showing that support,” says Nelson James, Co-founder of Signs.com. “We wish Joshua and the many other applicants all the best in their continued education and their future careers. We also look forward to continuing our support of education through this scholarship for many years to come.”

Applications for the 2018 scholarship will open this coming Fall to students graduating in the Class of 2018 and/or who will be college/university freshman in the Fall of 2018. For more information please visit our scholarship page.
